Had to ask, I'm riding a four year old for a lady who's seven months pregnant right now. I don't know, I'm in a heterosexual relationship so my role is defined for me biologically, and I could see how H might feel different later if people were to judge the baby as 'yours' because you carried it...but I think as long as you both loved it, it'll understand. I've never really thought of it and I don't live in the states so forgive any ignorance, but can you and H legally both have custody?

I don’t know if I really worry about the kid understanding, I think you understand whatever situation you are raised in. It’s everyone else that worries me. That’s ALWAYS the first question people ask lesbian parents, “who who had it?” — why on earth does it matter who had it, we both have to pay for it!

I know several women who rode through their pregnancy, not all the way through but they didn’t stop riding for a good few months into it. My body would go CRAZY if I just gave up riding for 9 whole months. Not possible. I might not ride Airy though :P

re: custody… yes we can both have custody, it’s not easy or cheap though. Yes h will have custody. That will be handled and ready to go well before 9months is up, I don’t have time for that to ever be questioned, by anyone, ever.
