the opposite of oops

Do you want a girl or a boy? Or do you care? I don't pay much attention to these things, but I seem to be under the impression when you're doing it a.i. you have the opportunity to choose that, or is that illegal for some reason still?

I know that I shouldn’t care. I know that a baby is a baby and babies are awesome and gender doesn’t matter so long as it’s healthy but… I just don’t know what I’d do with a boy. I want a girl, I have always wanted a girl, I very rarely consider any other reality.

I’m not saying I’d hate a boy, I wouldn’t at all and I know once we get to that point, gender really won’t matter and we will be so head over heals excited about our growing family that silly things like gener won’t even register… but in all my little plans and schemes, girl. We have a girls name, we don’t have a boys one. Well, we have a middle name for a boy.

As for AI, we want as little Dr. intervention as possible… if we can do everything at home, we will. So far it doesn’t seem like that will be a problem. No fertility treatments or doctors offices unless we really have no choice.

I think gender selection is illegal but if it wasn’t, I’d choose girl :)

I’m pretty sure that makes me a bad person.
